Adelaide Crows v North Melbourne Kangaroos (Saturday Afternoon)
Seventeenth placed North Melbourne are coming off the bye which has proven most troublesome for all the teams who have done it so far in 2023. Adelaide on the other hand are coming off a narrow loss against premiership favourites Collingwood at the MCG. The Crows love belting sides at home and I see no reason why they can’t overcome this line. I also think its worthwhile having something small on Adelaide to be in front by 6 or more goals at half time.

Hawthorn Hawks v Carlton Blues (Sunday Afternoon)
The Hawks tackle the Blues at the MCG on Sunday afternoon. Hawthorn have really mixed their form over the last five weeks which is to be somewhat expected with a young side. Their three good wins against the Eagles, Lions and Saints have been accompanied by two really ordinary performances, including last week when succumbing to Gold Coast by 67 points at Herritage Bank Stadium. It won’t surprise to see them bounce back strongly here and I am happy to take the 18.5 start against the Blues who have to buck the bye trend.
