Deevine (Gawler Race 6 No. 1)
This six-year-old Zebedee gelding trained by Ryan Balfour won at Gawler three starts back and has placed at both starts since then. He came from 10th for 1.3 lengths 3rd over 1000m at Morphettville Parks on 16 July, then began awkwardly and kept chasing from well back for 2.2 lengths 3rd over 1000m at Morphettville Parks on 23 July. Betta Eddie (Gawler Race 7 No. 2):
This four-year-old Barbados gelding trained by Darren Magro & A Bush has placed at his last four starts and is very consistent. He had a tough run before finishing 2 lengths 3rd over 1200m at Balaklava on 29 June, then took over at the 200m but was gathered in late for 1.2 lengths 3rd over 1200m at Gawler on 20 July. Has a 2kg claim and is likely to race on the speed. A great each-way chance.

Wolf Prince (Gawler Race 3 No. 7):
This four-year-old Tivaci gelding trained by Grant Young is the early favourite in this Class 1 Plate over 2100m. He worked hard early before running 8 lengths 4th over 2100m at Gawler on 20 July, then he stalked the leader before peaking in the final 250m for 1.5 lengths 5th over 2200m at Balaklava on 27 July. On a seven day back-up but others offer better value.

Best Bet What A Cross (Sale Race 1 No. 10) Big finale on debut and looms at likeable odds here. Was smacked in betting then and almost pulled off the plunge when flying to the line. Looks a huge chance here. Check odds on SmartB Analyst: Bryce Parker
