Reve Parisien | (Sha Tin Race 7 No.3)

This bloke was very good two back on the minimum weight, saluting by the barest of margins but he really come to the fore last start when he repeated the run prior carrying more weight, to finish second within a length of the talented Brilliant Way. He has drawn wide here but the speed isn’t overly hot so he should be able to get across to the rail no worries and the booking of Purton signals intent. I think he is going to be the one to catch. Red Titan is the other I will be speaking in the race after we blackbooked him following his third to Super Fortune.

Current Price: $2.40

Rainbow Light | (Sha Tin Race 3 No.3)

Absolutely loved his run last start when they stripped the gear off him and added blinkers, and it seems to do the trick, running a two-length third behind Erimo. I also loved the fact they were more positive on him, which I expect them to do again despite the forced jockey change. I have him mapped to get the gun run throughout so there won’t be any excuses in that area providing it pans out that way. Definitely a decent each-way chance.

Current Price: $6.50 / $2.30

Bets

Race 3 – No.3 Rainbow Light – Next Best

Last start was very good with the gear off and blinkers on ridden positively. Expecting the same here from a nice barrier in quite a narrow Class 4. Worth an each-way ticket.

Race 4 – No.1 Happy Day

Had plenty of excuses last start and the ground was one of them. He has since trialled well with Moreira on. Drawn ideally to be able to sit more forward if they want to whilst holding the rail. Big chance to hit back to where he got to two starts back.

Race 6 – No.3 Beauty Spirit

Two back he didn’t love the wet going but still ran a massive second behind rival Nicolson Returns, who he meets at least 4kg better off. Last start they led by default and just didn’t hang on. Drawn well to stalk the lead and is worth an each-way bet.

Race 7 – No.3 Reve Parisien – Best Bet / No.5 Red Titan

Reve Parisien is the best bet on the card was brilliant behind Brilliant Way LS, gets Purton on and will likely stride across with ease from the wide gate. I expect him to be hard to beat. Red Titan was a blackbooker who has since trialled well. Well worth a saver bet with Moreira on.

Race 8 – No.12 Seven Heavens

Hot little sprint race this. His first-up run was massive behind Power Koepp, despite being held up between the 300m-200m, still managed the ninth QL200m of meeting. Drops 1.5kg, Currie aboard. Looks a brilliant each-way bet at silly odds.

Race 10 – No.10 Navas Two

Finally drawn a good gate despite him being F/Up after 56 days off. He is at his ideal distance and maps in a perfect spot just off the leaders. He has run well in the past behind some talented horses and I expect today to be no different.

Horse Racing Tips: TAS Sunday 28th April 2024

Key Comments The track is Soft and the rail is +4 metres the entire circuit. As a general rule, runners who land in the front half of the field are suited at this track, with a slight advantage to those who land forward of midfield and can find a cart into the race from the wider lanes in the straight. Best Bet Sky Land (Hobart Race 1 No. 10) This 2YO filly takes on the older horses here but has been very game
