Our Moonee Valley Horse Racing Tips for Saturday’s meeting.

In The Boat (Moonee Valley Race 8 No. 11)

Lightly raced Lindsey Smith galloper with four wins and three placings from his seven career runs.  He lead around Caulfield at a fast speed last start and offered a strong kick on the turn to fend off the smart Marine One with a good gap back to third.  Maps to find the lead again here with just 55kg on his back after the claim.  Think the Valley will suit and he will take plenty of running down!

Mariamia (Moonee Valley Race 9 No. 2):

Five year old mare trained by Shane Stockdale.  She returns to the track & distance where she bolted in by seven lengths three starts ago.  Her two runs since have been very solid and she maps to get a soft run on the fence in this.  Looks to have a great each way chance.

Best Lay

Daqiansweet Junior (Moonee Valley Race 3 No. 5):

Daqiansweet Junior is currently rated a $2.50 chance in the first of the 2500m races.  He comes here in excellent form having won his last three however I have to oppose him at the price.  Despite having Jamie Kah and just 53kg on his back he is having his first try beyond 2200m and crossed the line in a bunched finish last start.
