Ex United States galloper now under the care of Ciaron Maher & David Eustace. He bolted in at Kyneton first up in slick time, then capitalised on the right run to win well again at Ballarat when stepping from 1100m to 1400m second up. Maps to get the right run again here from barrier five and maybe open to some further improvement third up. Hard to beat.

Saracen Knight (Flemington Race 4 No. 2):
Saracen Knight is a lightly raced seven year old gelding trained by Danny O’Brien. He has worked to the line solidly at his last two runs over 2000m. Has a good platform now to tackle the 2500m fourth up with Damian Oliver taking over from the apprentice. Think he will be in this for a long way at an each way price.

Pioneer River (Flemington Race 9 No. 9):
Pioneer River is currently rated a $6 chance in the final race on the card. Whilst he is pretty consistent he doesn’t win out of turn and is going to need luck here from the widest barrier. Prefer some of the lightly raced up and comers in this.
