Our Flemington Horse Racing Tips for Saturday’s meeting.

Kurabui (Flemington Race 5 No. 9)

Very progressive three year old trained by Mick Price & Michael Kent Jnr.  He is unbeaten in four trips to the races and drew away to beat La Chevalee last start who has since ran well in Sydney.  He is only third up here so may have some improvement left and gets in on the minimum weight.  Jamie Kah shouldn’t find too much trouble drawn out in barrier ten and I expect him to keep his unbeaten record in tact.

Pioneer River (Flemington Race 7 No. 4):

Pioneer River – now a gelding – hit the line really strongly when second here first up behind race favourite Curran.   He will derive good benefit from that run and steps to 1200m which should suit.  With the inform Ben Melham hopping aboard and a 2kg weight swing he looks a solid each way play at $8 in early markets.

Express Pass (Flemington Race 3 No. 1):

Express Pass is the early favourite in race three.  He is a talented sprinter on his day and ran well at Sandown last week but I thought there were queries here dropping back to 1000m and rising in weight.  He doesn’t represent any value at the current price.
