Our Eagle Farm Horse Racing Tips for the weekend.

Chico Milagro (Eagle Farm Race 1 No. 2)
This four-year-old I Am Invincible gelding trained by Tony Gollan has three wins and four places from 10 starts and goes well at this distance. Last campaign he hit the front for a narrow win over 1200m at Doomben on 12 September where he pulled up with blood in his nostrils. He resumed for 2.25, 1.25 lengths 3rd over 1050m at Doomben on 13 February. He goes well second-up and should win this.

Loveisili (Eagle Farm Race 6 No. 4):
This four-year-old Dansili gelding has four wins and six places from 17 starts. He didn’t run on and the rider was concerned with his action when 17 lengths last over 1800m at Randwick on 9 January, then he hit the front at the 250m but couldn’t hold the winner when 2 lengths 2nd over 1845m at Eagle Farm on 25 February. He has two wins at 2100m and drops in weight, making him a nice each-way bet.

Word For Word  (Eagle Farm Race 9 No. 11):
This five-year-old So You Think mare is the early favourite in this Class 3 Plate over 1600m. She was winded in the latter stages and finished 7.5 lengths 6th over 2000m at Rosehill on 30 January, then chased near the rail for 0.4 lengths 2nd in a Class 3 over 1600m at Sunshine Coast on 27 February. She is drawn wide and won’t find this any easier than last start.

Horse Racing Tips: TAS Sunday 5th May 2024

Key Comments The track is a synthetic tapeta-based surface and weather has minimal effect on how it races. The rail remains in the true position. As a general rule, runners who land in the front half of the field are suited at this track, with a slight advantage to those who land forward of midfield and can find a cart into the race from the wider lanes in the straight. Horse Racing Tips: VIC Sunday 5th May 2024

Key Comments The best bet is in the first and was explosive on debut. Expecting all to have their chance on this track that usually plays fair. Best Bet What A Cross (Sale Race 1 No. 10) Big finale on debut and looms at likeable odds here. Was smacked in betting then and almost pulled off the plunge when flying to the line. Looks a huge chance here. Check odds on SmartB Analyst: Bryce Parker
