Our Ipswich Horse Racing Tips for Wednesday’s meeting.

Jakama (Ipswich Race 6 No. 3)
This four-year-old  gelding trained by John Dann at Toowoomba has had three wins and a place from 12 starts. When resuming from an 18 week spell he chased solidly along the fence for 3.4 lengths 5th over 1200m at Beaudesert on 28 December, then he ran on for an easy 2 length win over 1200m at Ipswich on 3 February. He should be fitter now and can make it back-to-back wins.

How to pick a winner

Each Way

Love Yers All (Ipswich Race 5  No. 2):
This five-year-old Love Conquers All mare has had eight starts this campaign and hasn’t finished worse than 4th. She ran on strongly for 0.3 length 2nd over 1200m at Ipswich on 9 January, then hit the lead approaching the turn and held them all at bay for a 0.5 length win over 1350m at Ipswich on 23 January. She is so consistent that she is well worth an each-way bet.

Best Lay

Liara (Ipswich Race 7 No. 9):
This four-year-old Not A Single Doubt mare is the early favourite in this BM 55 handicap over 1666m. She was winded in the latter stages and finished 7.1 lengths 7th over 1400m at Warwick Farm on 26 January, then battled on for 3.85 lengths 5th over 1350m at Doomben in a BM 65 on 11 February. This is down in grade but up in distance and she looks vulnerable against runners with better recent form.

Horse Racing Tips: Sha Tin, Sunday 28th April 2024

Key Comments There is a 10-race program with three Group 1 races - the Group 1 Chairman’s Sprint Prize (1200m), Group 1 Champions Mile (1600m) and Group 1 QEII Cup (2000m) . The rail is in the A position. There is rain forecast but the track should get no worse than Soft. The first race is at 12.45 pm Hong Kong time which is 2.45 pm AEST. Best Bet Golden Sixty (Sha Tin Race 7 No. 1) He’s a special horse with 26

Horse Racing Tips: TAS Sunday 28th April 2024

Key Comments The track is Soft and the rail is +4 metres the entire circuit. As a general rule, runners who land in the front half of the field are suited at this track, with a slight advantage to those who land forward of midfield and can find a cart into the race from the wider lanes in the straight. Best Bet Sky Land (Hobart Race 1 No. 10) This 2YO filly takes on the older horses here but has been very game
