Our Canberra Racing Tips for Wednesdays meeting.

Affinity Beyond (Canberra Race 4 No. 8)
This four-year-old Starspangledbanner mare trained by Luke Pepper has three wins and two places from eight starts. She resumed after 46 weeks for a 1.54 length win over 1050m at Wagga on 28 November, then jumped awkwardly and was winded late for 3.6 lengths 6th over 1000m at Randwick on 12 December. Since then she won a Canberra trial and is a leading hope.

Each Way

Designer Dance (Canberra Race 6 No. 3):
This six-year-old mare has had two wins and eight places from 16 starts and has been placed at her last three runs. She drove to the front and looked the winner but peaked late to finish 0.1,0.8 lengths 3rd over 1400m at Nowra on 6 December, then chased hard for 0.8 lengths 2nd in a Highway Class 2 handicap over 1300m at Randwick on 19 December. She looks a good each-way chance again.

Best Lay

Fuchsia Rose (Canberra Race 3 No. 7):
This three-year-old Vancouver filly is the early favourite in this maiden handicap over 1400m and has recently changed trainers from Chris Waller to Keith Dryden in Canberra. She has raced twice for 9.4 lengths 7th over 1200m at Kembla Grange on 24 October, then made some ground from well back in the field for 6.5 lengths 8th over 1500m at Kembla Grange on 14 November. She looks too short a price on her form to date.

Horse Racing Tips: NSW Monday 29th April 2024

Key Comments The rail is true. The best bet flies on this track and is weighted superbly. Best Bet Bedouin Bear (Goulburn Race 1 No. 1) Flies here with 6 placings ( and 3 wins ) from 10 attempts. Superbly weighted after the claim and comes into this with a big chance. Slightly awkward draw but will be very hard to beat with even luck. Check odds on SmartB Analyst: Bhakti Dave Each Way

Horse Racing Tips: QLD Tuesday 30th April 2024

Key Comments The track is rated Soft and the rail is +0.5 metres from the 1000m to the winning post and +1.5 metres for the remainder. Best Bet Chilli Jam (Townsville Race 7 No. 16) She is absolutely flying and has won all 4 starts this campaign. She gets a 3 kg claim for Isabella Teh who rode her last start for a 3 length win. Can make it 5 in a row. Check odds on SmartB Analyst: Jo Jackson

Key Comments The rail is true. The best bet can land us a win in the first. Best Bet Blue Steel (Quirindi Race 1 No. 3) Has been sound in both efforts to date and this race lacks any depth. The 5th last start is better than it reads on paper and that is in a race much harder than this. Goes in the mix here. Check odds on SmartB Analyst: Bryce Parker Each Way Tingler (Quirindi Race 2 No. 8) A lot to like about the debut run on good footing but has battled on heavy tracks in the 3 runs since. Looks suited here getting back onto dry ground and this 3yo Filly has claims. Horse Racing Tips: NSW Tuesday 30th April 2024

Key Comments A big 10 race card takes place. The rail is in 3 metres. The track usually suits those who can sustain a long run to the line. That will suit the best bet who loves racing here and comes up later in the day. Best Bet Swanston (Grafton Race 7 No. 2) Has a booming turn of foot and while Swanston doesn't have the easiest pattern to catch, this track does suit and that shows with the 9 placings from 16
