Our Flemington Horse Racing Tips for the weekend.

There are two Group 1 races  –  the $2,000,000 Mackinnon Stakes and the $1,500,000 VRC Sprint Classic.

Right You Are (Flemington Race 4 No. 5)
This four-year-old So You Think gelding trained by Mick Price has four wins and three places from seven starts. He finished 0.4 length 2nd over 2000m at Flemington on 20 June with a big gap to 3rd, then got up in the last couple of strides for a 0.1 length win over 1600m at Flemington on 18 July. He resumes here after a 16 week spell and goes well first up. Rates highly and can win.

Santa Ana Lane (Flemington Race 6 No. 1):
He resumed from a 20 week spell to come from last for 2.05 lengths 5th in the Group 2 Gilgai Stakes over 1200m at Flemington on 3 October, then he produced the quickest last 200m of The Everest despite finishing 3.6L from the winner. He should be at his peak at his third run from a spell and looks a great each-way chance.

Almania (Flemington Race 1 No. 1):
This five-year-old gelding trained by Kris Lees is the early favourite in the Grand Handicap over 2000m. He is having his first start in Australia and has not trialled. His last two starts were 6.1 lengths 4th over 2406m on 26 July, then 15.2 lengths 4th in a Group 3 race over 2413m. With six last-start winners in the race he does not look like value.
