2023 WA Champion Fillies Stakes Runner by Runner
1. More Special (11)
One of 2 runners sired by Safeguard (the other is Guarding Heaven). Faded to finish last of 11 in the Listed Burgess Queen Stakes over 1600m at Ascot on 7th November. Hard to have.
2. Brave Strike (12)
One of 2 runners trained by Simon A Miller (the other is Generosity). Ran on well from the back of the field to finish 2.3 lengths 6th in the Listed Belgravia Stakes over 1200m at Ascot on 28th October. Has drawn the outside barrier but looks as if the 1600m will suit. in the mix.
3. Keshi Boom (5)
She won the Burgess Queen Stakes to give her 3 wins from 3 races and remains undefeated. It was a powerful win where she was blocked until the 200m and then became turbocharged and surged past star filly Super Smink in a few strides. Only bad luck can beat her.
4. Paris Calling (1)
One of 2 runners trained by Trevor Andrews (the other is Ayumi). She was 5th in the Burgess Queen and gets winkers on for the first time. drawn the inside and is a place chance.
5. The Boss Lady (6)
Has won 3 in a row with the latest over 1200m at Ascot on 11th November. Goes well at this track and has place claims if she can handle the mile.
6. Generosity (3)
Ran home for 4th in the Burgess Queen from 10th at the 400m. Had good closing splits and looks a genuine chance here.
7. Miss Rockjoy (4)
She finished off solidly for 3rd in the Burgess Queen and has a win and 3 places from her last 4 starts. Can surprise.
8. Ecstasy Of Gold (9)
One of 2 runners sired by Smart Missile (the other is Hoba Meteor). Was a length winner last start in a Class One Handicap over 1500m at Ascot on 7th November Not the worst.
9. Guarding Heaven (2)
Finished 6th in the Burgess Queen. She only has one win from her 10 starts and that was a 3YO Maiden at Northam over 1300m. This looks too hard.
10. Ayumi (7)
Ran 9th in the Burgess Queen where she didn’t have much luck. Prefer others.
11. Ima Wild Girl (8)
Finished 2nd behind Ecstasy Of Gold over 1500m at Ascot last start This is much harder.
12. Hoba Meteor (10)
Ran 8th in the Burgess Queen. Looking to others.
