There is a field of 11 runners for the $200,000 Tramway Stakes and seven of them will be having their first-up run from a spell. Three will be second-up with two of them having resumed in the Group 1 Winx Stakes. The other runner is third-up. The early favourite is Dreamforce who has won 12 of his 34 starts and won this race last year. He only beat one runner home when resuming but is expected to show sharp improvement and is here to defend his title. Second favourite is Vanna Girl who won four races in a row in Queensland before a 12 week let-up. Third favourite is Reloaded who was 2nd in the Group 2 Hobartville Stakes, 1.1 lengths 4th in the Group 1 Randwick Guineas then 3rd in the Group 1 Rosehill Guineas earlier in the year and could be competitive.

Colette won the Group 3 Adrian Knox Stakes and the Group 1 Australian Oaks before a 21 week break and resumes here – she is very talented. Looks Like Elvis disappointed with last in the Group 3 Show County Quality when resuming on 22 August but generally improves second-up. Opacity is back from a 13 week break and won two races at Randwick before a break. Kolding was 13th in the Winx Stakes when resuming and needs to improve. Rock placed in a recent trial while Dragon Leap won two Group 2 races in New Zealand before spelling.  The other two runners are currently 20 to 1 or longer.

1. Dreamforce

The 2019 winner of this race has won 12 of his 34 starts. He only beat one runner home when resuming but is expected to show sharp improvement and is here to defend his title. Should be in the finish

2. Kolding

Was 13th in the Winx Stakes when resuming and needs to improve. He didn’t get a win last campaign, but most of his races were Group 1’s.

3. Dragon Leap

This beautifully-bred New Zealand trained gelding has only had five races but has three wins and a place. All his races have been in New Zealand and he won two Group 2 races before 4th in the NZ Derby . Having his first Australian start after a 27 week spell and will be one to keep an eye on.

4. Colette

This Godolphin mare has four wins and two places from her seven starts. She won the Group 3 Adrian Knox Stakes and the Group 1 Australian Oaks before a 21 week break and resumes here. Her three-year-old wins suggests she is a force to be reckoned with  She is very talented and is a one of the main chances.

5. Rock

He has 4 wins and 4 places from his 11 starts, including a Group 3 win and was 3rd in the Group 3 Liverpool City Cup before spelling . He finished 2nd in a recent Rosehill trial and has a rough place chance.

6. Glenall

He placed when resuming in the July Sprint on 25 July then ran 2 lengths 4th in the Group 2 Missile Stakes last start. Has no wins in eight starts at Randwick and looking elsewhere.

7. Looks Like Elvis

Dsappointed with last in the Group 3 Show County Quality when resuming on 22 August but he generally improves second-up.

8. Vanna Girl

She won four races in a row in Queensland before a 12 week let-up, including the Group 2 The Roses. Her race record is seven wins and two places from 10 starts and she is one of the main chances.

9. Reloaded

He was 2nd in the Group 2 Hobartville Stakes, 1.1 lengths 4th in the Group 1 Randwick Guineas then 3rd in the Group 1 Rosehill Guineas earlier in the year and could be competitive. Trained by Chris Waller and ridden by James McDonald he is one to keep an eye on and I expect he will make his presence felt.

10. Opacity

He is back from a 13 week break and won two races at Randwick before a break. His record of five wins from seven starts is a testament to his ability, but this is his first Black-type race and is going to be so much tougher than any race he has been in before.

11. Greysful Glamour

She resumes from 1 17 week break and has a poor record at Randwick. Not here.
