Quality field engaged. Good to see the return of Celestial Legend who is the class runner of the field and will be hard to beat from barrier 3. Rediener will be hard to catch with its on pace running pattern. PunchLane raced without much luck in QLD and can measure up to these, albeit does look short enough in the market currently. Whinchat and BoomTorque both have strong winning records and should be thereabouts in this.

Impossible to knock off the back of a massive prep and huge run in the Doncaster. Should be poised to win fresh and barrier 3 will ensure every chance. Surprised by the current odds on offer.

On pacer who can give a good luck in this. Not hopeless at odds.

3. New Endeavour (1)

Prefer others.

4. Osipenko (9)

This looks too tough.

5. Airman (14)

Can’t have.

6. New Energy (2)

Market watch resuming. Has the ability and drawn for a good run.

7. Coastwatch (8)

Can’t have.

8. Punch Lane (12)

Has put some good wins together back to back. A lot harder here but has the fitness edge which will help drastically in this.

9. Bases Loaded (15)

Classy runner who resumes off the back of a dominant win in heavy conditions. Harder here and drawn wide but warrants respect.

10. Encap (7)

Form has tapered off but does have the class. Keep safe.

11. Molly Bloom (11)

Can’t have.

12. Diamond Diesel (5)

Prefer others.

13. Tannhauser (13)

This looks too tough.

14. Boom Torque (4)

Capable runner who maps for a solid run. Has been heavily backed in early markets and holds a fitness edge over a lot of the field.

15. Whinchat (6)

Building a strong record and loves racing on this track. Should land up on speed and prove hard to catch against this lot in what is a suitable race.
