1. Swift Witness
Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott trained filly who has had four runs back from a spell. She won the Group 2 Silver Shadow first up, ran third in the Tea Rose on September 18 and fourth in the Flight Stakes last start. Expect her to come across and settle in the first couple from barrier 12. Each way claims.
Chris Waller trained filly who has five wins and three seconds from her nine starts. She ran home strongly into second in the Flight Stakes last start which looks strong form for this. Any rain won’t hurt her chances. Leading contender.
3. Elusive Express
Was good here from the back two starts ago, then won the Edward Manifold at Flemington last time out. Another who goes well on rain affected going. In the mix.
4. Bon’s A Perla
Blinkers go on for the first time. She broke her maiden at Sandown on September 1, then won again stepping to Group 2 company here last start. Roughie with a chance.
5. Literary Magnate
Hit the line well first up at Moonee Valley, then was only fair in the Jim Moloney last time. Needs to improve.
Daughter of Zoustar still in her first racing preparation. She impressed winning her first two starts at Moonee Valley, then was far from disgraced when running home into second in the Jim Moloney. Appears likely to need luck from barrier 2 given her racing pattern so far has been to settle back in her races but has an inform jockey in the saddle. One of the chances.
Has been good without winning in all three runs this preparation. Latest she stuck to the task to finish a narrow second after being caught wide the trip. In the mix.
8. Queen Of Dubai
Lead all the way to win the Jim Moloney at a price last start. Looks likely to come across and find the lead again here. Don’t discount.
Won a Newcastle maiden two back, then was close up in the Edward Manifold last start. Draws well in barrier seven and should appreciate any rain that does arrive.
10. Barb Raider
Talented daughter of Rebel Raider. She was dominant winning a benchmark 70 at Sandown on September 8, then won well again over 1800m at Flemington last start. Comes back 200m in trip which is some query but has the talent to be winning this.
11. Cuban Link
Has impressed winning her last two against easier company. She has drawn well here and it wouldn’t shock to see her run a race at a price.
Broke her maiden at Goulburn last start. Would need to improve significantly to be a factor here.
13. Fortunate Kiss
Was good behind Linas Legend at Sandown, then didn’t have the best of luck when trying to make her run on the inside of runners in the Jim Moloney. Should get every chance from barrier five.
