There is a field of 14 fillies for the $1,000,000 Thousand Guineas and 8 of them had their last start in the Group 2 Thousand Guineas Prelude over 1400m on 26 September, three in the Listed Jim Moloney Stakes over 1400m on 19 September, and two in the Group 1 Flight Stakes over 1600m on 3 October. The early favourite is Hungry Heart who was 2nd in the Flight Stakes after running 2nd at the two starts before. Second favourite is Instant Celebrity who won the Prelude and is unbeaten in four runs. Third favourite is Vangelic who ran 3rd in the Flight Stakes.

Thermosphere won the Group 2 Edward Manifold Stakes over 1600m last outing.  Aidensfield ran 2nd in the Jim Moloney Stakes and Odeum won that race. Personal came 2nd in the Prelude, while Rock My Wand finished 3rd.  All other runners are currently 20 to 1 or longer.

1. Hungry Heart

This Frankel filly was 2nd in the Flight Stakes after running 2nd in theGroup 2 Tea Rose Stakes on 19 September and 2nd in the Group 2 Furious Stakes on 5 September. The blinkers go on this week and it could make the difference. Obviously one of the key chances.

2. Thermosphere

She won the Group 2 Edward Manifold Stakes over 1600m last outing which was her first try over the distance. Could place.

3. Instant Celebrity

Won the Prelude and is unbeaten in four runs. Should be fighting out the finish.

4. Personal

Resumed for 3rd in the Group 2 Danehill Stakes then was 2nd in the Prelude. Bred for further so could go well.

5. Vangelic

Ran 3rd in the Flight Stakes after 3rd in the Tea Rose so is capable of placing.

6. Ecumenical

6th in the Prelude and will find this tough.

7. Aidensfield

She ran 2nd in the Jim Moloney Stakes and has been in the quinella at all four starts. Can place.

8. Night Raid

She led in the Prelude and finished 4th. Suspect 1600m will be too long,

9. Odeum

Won the Jim Moloney Stakes to give her two wins from three starts. Not the worst.

10. Rock My Wand

Ran 3rd in the Guineas Prelude and with only one win from 10 starts she is aiming too high.

11. Mozzie Monster

Finished 6 lengths 8th in the Prelude and needs to lift.

12. Agreeable

Ran 6th in the Jim Maloney Stakes and this is too hard.

13. Love Sensation

Ran a decent 5th in the Prelude but this looks too tough.

14. Yosemite

Managed 7th in the Prelude and looking elsewhere.
