A full field of 16 fillies plus 5 emergencies have accepted for the 2024 ANZ Bloodstock News The Roses. Nine runners had their last start in the Listed Gold Coast Bracelet over 1800m at Sunshine Coast on 11th May (won by Amazonian Lass) and two in the Group 1 Australasian Oaks over 200m at Morphettville on 27th April (won by Vibrant Sun), while the rest came via different races. Three are sired by Pierro, three by Dundeel and two by The Autumn Sun. Four runners are trained by Chris Waller and two by Kris Lees.

The early favourite is Scarlet Oak who was a 2.5 length winner over 1600m at Newcastle last start to give her 2 wins and a runner-up from her 3 starts. Second favourite is Molly Bloom who finished 2nd in the Gold Coast Bracelet. Third favourite is Tutta La Vita who came 5th in the Group 1 ATC Oaks over 2400m at Randwick on 13th April. Amazonian Lass won the Gold Coast Bracelet. Poifect won the Listed Adelaide Guineas over 1800m at Morphettville on 4th May to give her 2 consecutive wins, while Good Banter won the Group 3 Adrian Knox Stakes over 2000m at Randwick on 6th April. The other runners are currently $16 or longer.
