The Beauford 2023 Preview
Track: Good Weather: Fine
The stayers battle it out over the 2300m. Canberra Legend was just fair fresh. Should be strips fitter for the run and better for the look on Oz shores. Sky Lab was a moral beaten when heavily backed last run and just has to hold its form. Numerian is the class of the race and good enough to trouble these while Stroke Of Luck beat home Sky Lab last run but had a better run in transit and rounds out the chances.

Class of the race that looks a danger to the top pick . Has options from the draw and the stable are superb with their stayers. This race is up for grabs.
2. Stockman (7)
Going okay but wants the rain. Keep an eye on the weather.
3. Sky Lab (6)
Unlucky last run and suited to this field. Couldn’t get clean air last run and Collett sticks. This race looks slightly easier and they backed it for a stack late in the market last time out. Really keen on its chances in this and the price is good.
4. Torrens (3)
Capable of bobbing up at odds and is a winner over this trip. Keep safe in this kind of race.
5. Stroke Of Luck (14)
Going along well this prep and with even luck in running is capable of fighting out the finish.
6. Parry Sound (12)
Too hard to catch and like others better in this.
7. Olympic Gaze (4)
Can’t have.
8. Baby Rider (2)
Prefer others.
9. Canberra Legend (5)
Drifter first up and ran accordingly. Strips fitter and overseas form should see it competitive in this similar race.
10. Youth Spirit (8)
No luck last start and should be able to find the front in this. Goes in the mix out of the leading stable.
11. Andalus (15)
Suited over this trip and should have time to slot in from the wide draw. Worth keeping safe and is a top 4 chance in this field.
12. Dark Dream (11)
Leaning to others but can sneak a place if it runs a career peak. Monitor any market moves.
13. Tappy’s Lad (10)
Can’t have.
14. Tapildoodledo (13)
Prefer others.
