Track: Good Weather: Good

Chaillot looks hard to beat in this field. It flies fresh, loves good footing and if good to go is simply lengths better than this bunch. Tumbler Ridge has plenty of class but yet to win fresh so that is a query. Roman Aureus returned with a strong win, will do no work from the draw and can make it back to back victories. Star Of Michelin maps for a nice run in transit, likes racing here and can give this race a shake.

Tumbler Ridge has plenty of class but I really couldn’t have it with its 0/5 fresh record. Can win but usually improves with a run under the belt. Looks short at the moment.

2. Chaillot (6)

Chaillot goes clearly on top against this field. Loves good footing, has a class edge with its Victorian form and flies over the 1400. It has been a while between drinks but it won’t get a better chance to win than this.

3. Last Chance (15)

Wide draw could be a problem here for Last Chance but this race is lacking depth. It is good enough to take this out but the steer from Jim Byrne will need to be good.

4. Sea Raider (7)

Can’t have.

5. Roman Aureus (1)

Nice win last start rocketing to the line. Maps to do no work from the draw and Larry Cassidy knows the horse extremely well. The $5.50 is a good price.

6. Redouble (5)

Can’t have.

7. Derulo (11)

Derulo loves racing on this track and enjoys a good track. Barrier 11 is a problem but it should land on the speed and be hard to hold out against this bunch.

8. Star Of Michelin (3)

Star Of Michelin should be around the mark in this field. It loves racing on this track and Huxtable is 1/1 aboard. This is within reach and the $10.00 is fair.

9. Sir Rocket (13)

Needs to lift on form.

10. Matowatakpe (10)

Not known to perform fresh. Best to follow any market moves.

11. Namazu (14)

Should improve with a run under the belt. Keep an eye on the market and respect any moves.

12. Hilo (12)

Needs to lift on current form. Can’t have.

13. Bombasay (8)

Prefer in something easier.

14. Relucent (4)

Needs to lift. Prefer in something esasier.

15. Renouf (9)

Renouf loves racing here. 5 wins from 12 goes, it looks nicely placed in this field. Barrier 9 is a bit sticky but KWT does the steering, this race is within reach. The $21.00 is a solid price and it should run a good race.
