Track: Good Weather: Fine

A cracking race that will be very entertaining to watch. King’s Gambit found the hot weather a bit too much last start and couldn’t run down Madeira Sunrise who was excellent on debut and kicked hard on the rail to win. Fire Lane looms as a large price and has been around the mark all prep while the trials of Cylinder were awfully sharp pieces of work. Platinum Jubilee goes in the mix after running a very gallant 2nd to the smart Skirt The Law. Gap to the rest.

2. Cylinder (1)

Trialled up like a bomb and like the booking of Avdulla. Expect it to give an excellent sight against these and looks to have come back even better off its latest pieces of work. Hard to beat.

3. King’s Gambit (4)

The trainers claimed the hot weather got to King’s Gambit last run. Gets another chance here but also may be dealing with extreme heat again. Nash takes the ride and from the good draw it looks very hard to beat in this field.

4. Nazorian (8)  – SCRATCHED

5. Fire Lane (5)

Been a round the mark is some handy races and certainly is in the mix. Surprised them with the debut win and if it can find that form it should give this a shake at a kind price.

6. Madeira Sunrise (6)

Kicked hard on debut to defeat King’s Gambit off the back of some neat trials. Drawn away from the rail here and needs to lift again to be taking this out but showed plenty of ability on debut and this is a suitable race.

7. Mumbai Muse (3)

Excellent debut run behind Steel City and Learning To Fly. That really does look the right form for this race with the latter having won in excellent fashion since. Prebble will get every chance with the kind map and draw. This race is ideal.

8. Platinum Jubilee (7)

Excellent last start effort behind Skirt The Law who is well and truly above average. That form should hold up here and Tim Clark will land it right up on the speed and give it every chance.
