Track: Good 4 Weather: Cloudy

Hard to ignore the class factor of Pericles. Should give this a shake with the very in form Shinn doing the riding. Pinstriped has a booming finish and while it has been out of form for a while it does strike a much easier race than its past few starts. Munhamek should give this a shake looking for four wins straight while GentlemanRoy has come back in superb fashion this prep and will give them something to catch.

1. Pericles (7)

Should give this a shake despite the awkward draw. Shinn does the steering and brings the class factor to this field. Deserving favourite.

2. Munhamek (8)

Looking for four on the bounce and very hard to knock the way it is going. Should be able to camp off the speed and have last crack at them.

3. Aegon (11)

Class runner who has been off its best for a while. Drawn a touch awkward in barrier 11 but has claims if recapturing best form.

4. Buffalo River (3)

Should run well in this. Can land on speed and has proven of age to be effective in all conditions.

5. Pounding (2)

Can’t have.

6. Pinstriped (5)

Decent drop in grade for Pinstriped who has been off its best lately but strikes a much more suitable race. Top 3 hope from the good draw.

7. Gentleman Roy (9)

Has come back in flying form. Should be able to lead these up and give a bold sight. The amount of pressure it cops from Buffalo River vital to its chances.

8. Bankers Choice (10)

Can’t have.

9. Jimmy The Bear (6)

Nosed out last start and racing on consistent fashion. Some query on the form from last run however does have the class to take this out.

10. Nicolini Vito (4)

Can’t have.

11. Honey Girl (1)

Prefer others.
