2020 Ming Dynasty Quality Race Details
Race 7 at Rosehill Gardens on Saturday 29 August 2020 is the Group 3 Ming Dynasty Quality.
The Ming Dynasty Quality is a 1400 metre quality handicap race for three-year-olds run by the Australian Turf Club at Rosehill. It is one of three Group 3 feature events on the program.

Ming Dynasty Quality 2020 Preview
Track: Good Weather: Fine
There is a field of eight runners for the $160,000 Ming Dynasty Quality and 3 of them had their last start in the Group 3 Up And Coming Stakes on 15 August. The clear favourite is Overlord who is still a maiden but was placed in his first three starts before running 4th in the Group 1 JJ Atkins 2YO Plate at Eagle Farm. He returns from a 12 week let-up and ran in two trials. Second favourite is Kumasi who finished 2nd in the Group 3 Pago Pago Stakes before a 21 week spell and resumed for 4th in The Rosebud where he was winded in the latter stages. Third favourite is Aim who finished worse than midfield when resuming at Canterbury last start, but drops 3.5kg from that.
Holyfield is the topweight and has won 3 of his 6 starts, including a Group 3 win in the TL Baillieu Handicap. Achiever won a 1400m 2YO handicap at Randwick before a 12 week let-up. Bazooka finished 2nd in the Up And Coming Stakes at $41 last start and has to be considered. Oscar Zulu was 4th in the Up And Coming last start, while Street Dancer is the outsider at 50 to 1 and only beat one runner home in a Warwick Farm maiden last outing..
2020 Ming Dynasty Quality Runner by Runner
1. Holyfield
The topweight has won 3 of his 6 starts, including a Group 3 win in the TL Baillieu Handicap. He finished 7 lengths back from the winner when resuming in the Up And Coming Stakes on a heavy track and will improve second-up on firmer going.
2. Aim
He finished worse than midfield when resuming at Canterbury last start, but drops 3.5kg from that.Can figure in the placings.
3. Kumasi
This Snitzel colt finished 2nd in the Group 3 Pago Pago Stakes before a 21 week spell and resumed for 4th in The Rosebud where he was winded in the latter stages. One of the chances.
4. Overlord
He is still a maiden but was placed in his first three starts before running 4th in the Group 1 JJ Atkins 2YO Plate at Eagle Farm. He returns from a 12 week let-up and ran in two trials. Should be in the finish.
5. Street Dancer
The outsider at 50 to 1 he has raced three times and only beat one runner home in a Warwick Farm maiden last outing. Looks safely held.
6. Bazooka
This Smart Missile gelding finished 2nd in the Up And Coming Stakes at $41 last start and has to be considered on the basis of that.
7. Achiever
He won a 1400m 2YO handicap at Randwick before a 12 week let-up., and is not the worst.
8. Oscar Zulu
Debuted with a maiden win at Gosford then finished 4th in the Up And Coming last start at his 3rd outing. Rough place chance.
