Track: Soft Weather: Good

A wide open field where how wet the track is will play a vital role. Quantico is one of those that wants the conditions to stay bone dry and looks very well placed in this company. Profondo also wants a dry track and the fresh effort behind Anamoe last prep would win this. Sibaaq was solid and consistent last prep and looks a major player in this while Think About It is airborne this prep and will be hard to hold out with the light weight on its back.

1. Profondo (5)

Have it on top but it is D-Day. Loved the fresh run last prep behind Anamoe and taking a gamble it can find that form again. Concede Profondo will not want the track in any kind of soft range but if it dries up it is in this race up to its eyeballs.

2. Rocketing By (7)

Classy gelding who will need a bit of luck from the draw and has no jockey booked at this stage. Can win, respect the market for it here 2nd up.

3. Bandersnatch (9)

Sneaky hope. Can put in a bold run fresh and loves this track. Chance.

4. Riodini (1)

Hasn’t won from 9 goes at Randwick but suited from the inside barrier and flies on soft tracks. Sneaky hope here and chances increase if the track is playing on speed. If it is on speed suited then there is no better man to have in the saddle than Tim Clark.

5. Quantico (10)

Huge chance if the track is dry but simply won’t go a yelp on the wet and will likely be scratched. Extremely hard to beat on good footing and has the best turn of foot out of this bunch. The map and slotting in from the wide draw is the knock. Weather watch.

6. Sibaaq (3)

Super consistent galloper that maps well here and should run a ripper race fresh. Flies first up and Hugh Bowman does the steering, is also overdue for a win and that’s the query on taking the price.

7. Gravina (6)

Raced well last start and just has to gold its form to be going close. The map is good, it flies 2nd up and loves Randwick. Major player off those points and is a top 3 chance.

8. Norwegian Bliss (4)  – SCRATCHED

9. Ranch Hand (8)

Off the boil at the moment but the best version of Ranch Hand would give this an almighty shake. Respect any market move.

10. Think About It (2)

Continues to win and should have no problems running well in this with the light weight and kind draw. Up a decent leap in grade and short enough price wise but it is hard to knock winning form and it deserves a crack at these.
