There are eight runners for the $160,000 Concorde Stakes following the early scratching of Wisdom Of Water, and all except one are resuming from a spell. They range in age from four to seven, with five geldings, two stallions and a mare. The early favourite is seven-year-old Nature Strip who has won 16 of his 30 starts and ran 2nd in this race last year. Second favourite is Wild Ruler who goes well first-up and won his latest trial. Third favourite is Trekking who performs well at this track.
Adelong won two in a row at Randwick before a 12 week break. Standout resumes from a 26 week spell and has won two from four first-up. Handle The Truth has a top record at this distance and goes well first-up. Standing Bear is third-up here and won first-up, while Star Boy has been off the track for 55 weeks.

Has been off the track for 55 weeks. Prefer to see after such a long break.
8. Standing Bear
Is third-up here and won first-up. Returns to a shorter trip.
9. Adelong
The only mare in the race. Won two in a row at Randwick before a 12 week break. Place hope.
