2022 Arrowfield 3YO Sprint Race Details
Race 5 at Randwick on Saturday 9 April 2022.
The Arrowfield 3YO Sprint is a Group 2 1200 metre set weights race for the three-year-olds that is run by the Australian Turf Club in April. It is normally run at Randwick during the Sydney Autumn Racing Carnival.

Arrowfield 3YO Sprint 2022 Preview
Track: Heavy Weather: Showers.
Eleven runners have accepted for the $1,000,000 Group 2 Arrowfield 3YO Sprint and there have been no early scratchings. The Chris Waller stable, James Cummings stable, and the Maher/Eustace stable are all saddling up two runners each in the event whilst the other stables only have one entry each.
Mazu has opened the early favourite and he is looking for four wins in a row after recently taking out the Darby Munro Stakes. In The Congo is next in line after a brilliant first-up run Galaxy Stakes, where he led the entire way, only to be run down in the shadows of the post.
Paulele rounds out the top 3 in the betting and he is on the quick backup from is surprise placing behind Nature Strip and Eduardo in the TJ Smith Stakes.

Was huge on resumption in the Galaxy taking on the older horses for the first time. Blinkers off and back in grade. Going to be hard to beat.
2. Paulele (3)
On a quick backup. He ran a good third against the old horses and is also coming back in grade. Big chance to run another race.
3. Marine One (7)
Can’t have first-up.
4. General Beau (8)
Looks too tough.
5. Generation (5)
Knockout chance. Unknown on the ground.
6. Mazu (9)
Going for four in a row. Hardest test to date but has the form to be favourite.
7. Shaquero (10)
Prefer others.
8. Ranch Hand (1)
Can’t have it on recent form.
9. Bacchanalia (11)
Was wide throughout behind Mazu last start when finishing second. Drawn poorly again. Place chance.
10. Maotai (4)
Can’t have.
11. I Am Lethal (2)
Can’t have.
