Boulder Cup Race History

The Boulder Cup was first ran in 1898, producing a dead heat in its inaugural race when the judges could not separate Fadladeen and First Mate. This was the year after the first running of the Kalgoorlie Cup. Past winners are hard to find prior to 1955 when it was won by a horse called Correction. The distance was 1760m until 2014 when it was increased to the current 2100m.
