Wyong Cup 2022 Preview
Track: Soft Weather: Fine
Intriguing edition of the cup. Hard to see Lord Admore not running well from the nice draw and with Bowman in the saddle. Grove Ferry gets a nice drop in class and the services of Tim Clark. Toomuchtobear has been around the mark this prep and has a strong 4th up record. While Durston had no luck last run and can bounce back in this, especially with the eye catching booking of James Mcdonald. Chris Waller trains seven of the runners and Dragon Dream is the only runner with a Wyong trainer.

1. Lord Admore (2)
Conitnues to race in good fashion and maps to get a suitable run in transit from the nice draw. Bowman knows the horse well and it should be getting the dream run in transit and have every chance. Top 4 player.
2. Our Intrigue (7)
Needs to put another win on the board and has been very costly to punters. Prefer others.
3. Carif (8)
Suited getting out to this trip but has a very poor strike rate. Hard to trust and prefer others.
4. Grove Ferry (5)
Nicely placed in this field. Grove Ferry should appreciate a dry surface and maps to get its chance with Tim Clark in the saddle. The go forward style suits the track, it should go close.
5. Toomuchtobear (10)
Ready to win and this is a suitable assignment. Toomuchtobear has rarely missed the placings in its career and while it needs another win, this is its chance. Hard to beat.
6. Chalk Stream (3)
Dual acceptor who may also be racing Saturday. Wouldn’t be a hopeless chance in this. Chalk Stream is looking for a dry surface and should get the right run in transit. Keep an eye on the market.
7. La Chevalee (1)
Maps a little tricky from barrier 1 and probably prefers the track to be wet. Can win but a touch short in markets given the set up.
8. Durston (11)
Had no luck last run after being caught wide. J-Mac goes aboard and while the map is slightly sticky, he is the countrys best jockey and Durston can give this a red hot shake. Its run last prep beating Mankayan would go very close here, I have it on top.
9. Yiyi (6)
Becoming very hard to catch. Has an excellent turn of foot but mixes form. Risky but capable.
10. Mubariz (4)
Can’t have.
11. She’s A Maneater (9)
Prefer others.
12. Dragon Dream (12)
This looks too tough.
