Our Belmont Horse Racing Tips for the weekend.

Pletto (Belmont Race 2 No. 5)
With 3 wins and 4 places from  starts, this mare goes well every time she races. She resumed from a long spell for 0.8 length, 0.6 lengths 3rd where she peaked late over 1200m at Belmont on 15 July, then she stormed home down the outside to draw well clear and win by 2.7 lengths over 1200m at Belmont on 29 July. She goes up in weight but is still capable of winning again.

How to pick a winner

Each Way

Star Value (Belmont Race 5 No. 8):
This Ad Valorem gelding has 2 wins and a place from 5 starts at this track. He was 9th on the rail and blocked to the 200m before winding up for 6.1 lengths 5th over 1600m at Belmont on 20 June,, then arrived late for a 0.3 length win over 1609m at Kalgoorlie on 28 June. Now that he’s had that win he looks a good each-way bet.

Best Lay

Queen Takes King (Belmont Race 9 No. 3):
This grey mare is favourite in this 2100m race after winning over this track and distance last start. She finished 7.2 lengths 4th on the Listed Belmont Classic over 2200m on 18 July, then won by 1.2 lengths over 2100m at Belmont on 29 July. She goes up in weight here while horses that finished behind her last start go down in weight. Over this distance that will be significant and it will be hard for her to win.
