Our Belmont Horse Racing Tips for the weekend.

Long Beach (Belmont Race 10 No. 9)
With 3 wins and 2 places from 6 starts, this I Am Invincible gelding has a good strike rate. He was very keen early and then had no dash for 1.1 lengths, 0.2 length 3rd over 1400m at Ascot on 7 March then went for a spell. He resumed with a 0.8 length win over 1200m at Belmont on 4 July. He won second-up last campaign and looks a good chance to win again.

How to pick a winner

Each Way

Crystal Spirit (Belmont Race 8 No. 6):
This five-year-old Bel Espirit gelding hasn’t raced for 97 weeks but has 4 wins and 6 places from his 14 starts. His last three runs in 2018 were all over 1200m at Belmont and he won them all – on a heavy, a good and a soft track. He has had two trials and placed in them both. He is an interesting runner and I think he is worth an each-way bet at the good odds on offer.

Best Lay

Warbler (Belmont Race 1 No. 2):
I’m not sure why this horse is favourite in this maiden race as he has been favourite at 3 of his last 4 races and is still a maiden after 7 starts. A couple of the other runners look close to breaking through while the unraced filly has won her last two trials and could possibly win first-up.
