This looks a pretty stock standard winters Sandown meeting. Typically the Lakeside provides a significant advantage to runners on the speed but I wouldn’t be surprised to see them getting away from the rail given there was heavy rain during last weeks meeting and they really looked to chop the track up. Whether they can make ground or not remains to be seen. Keen to keep following the good apprentices – Carleen Heffel, Celine Gaudrey and Wiremu Pinn. John Allen is another who looks hungry to ride winners before kicking off a lengthy suspension.

Was heavily backed at Caulfield on resumption. Beaten for speed early but the late work through the line was very solid. This is easier and he is much better suited getting at 1200m.

Talented horse resuming from a short spell. This race looks to set up well for him to get back and storm home down the outside.
