Our Sandown Hillside Horse Racing Tips for Wednesday’s meeting

Dee Keepa (Sandown Hillside Race 4 No. 7)

The Lindsey Smith galloper resumed with a solid 4th over the 1100m at Bendigo.  She was then heavily backed, held up and narrowly missed at Donald on Cup Day.  She is now ready to peak third up, up to 1400m with the Melbourne Cup winning jockey Jye McNeil going on.  Last preparation when third up she won by 3.8 lengths over this distance.

Each Way

Capital Zous (Sandown Hillside Race 6 No. 7):

The four-year-old son of Zoustar began his career with a strong maiden win at Hamilton in May.  He was then spelled and resumed on a rain affected Warrnambool track where he had excuses.  He put in a much improved effort second up on firmer footing storming home at Ballarat after being held up.  Similarly to our best bet, he is third up here with Jye McNeil booked and the best value bet of the day at double figure odds.

Best Lay

Better Kick (Sandown Hillside Race 3 No. 4):

Better Kick did a good job to break his maiden last start at Wangaratta but that was against much easier company.  The horse that ran second was previously unplaced in seven attempts.  He now has to tackle a strong mid week benchmark 64 featuring six last start winners and I am happy to risk as the favourite in early markets.

Key Comments An 8 race meeting on the synthetic Poly Track where the rail is in the true position. Best Bet I Am Amazes (Gold Coast Poly Race 1 No. 7) This mare has been runner-up at her last 2 starts, both at this track. Should be ready to lose her maiden status. Check odds on SmartB Analyst: Jo Jackson Each Way Whiskey Dancer (Gold Coast Poly Race 5 No. 7) Resumed for 2nd at this

Horse Racing Tips: NSW Saturday 20th April 2024

Key Comments 8 race card on a good 4 track. The best bet is in the first and looks placed to win off the back of a sound return off a long break. Best Bet Media World (Kembla Grange Race 1 No. 3) This 2yo Colt was sound first up without much luck and looks set for better races than this. Can get the dream run from barrier 1 and break maiden in what is a handy field. Check odds on SmartB

Horse Racing Tips: NSW Saturday 20th April 2024

Key Comments The rail is in 3 metres and the track is heavy. Just 6 races on the small card and the best bet is in the first. Best Bet Grand Horizon (Taree Race 1 No. 3) Gets barrier 1 and this 4yo Mare boasts 2 placings on the track and looks nicely placed against this bunch. Set to peak and looks primed to get another win and should do no work from the draw. Hard to beat. Check odds on SmartB

Horse Racing Tips: VIC Saturday 20th April 2024

Key Comments The rail is true. The best bet comes up in race 3 and only needs a pinch of luck from the barrier to be breaking maiden. Best Bet Beautiful View (Horsham Race 3 No. 1) Needs luck from out there but has been around the mark all this prep and Fry is an ideal booking. Does find the right race here and still looms at backable odds. Check odds on SmartB Analyst: Bryce Parker Each
