Our Bendigo Horse Racing Tips for Wednesday’s meeting.

Dirty Deeds (Bendigo Race 7 No. 11)

Dirty Deeds returns to Bendigo where he has two cracking previous runs.   He is likely to get some cut out of the ground here which I think he needs and he maps to get a lovely run from barrier four for Jamie Kah.  He hit the line well enough last time behind the heavily supported D’Jumbuck and may have just been lacking a bit of match fitness given he was seven weeks between runs.  He is much better set up here.

How to pick a winner

Each Way

Jekyll’n’hyde (Bendigo Race 4 No. 3):

Jekyll’n’hyde is an improving stayer who has finished in the placings at his last four starts.  He worked home well to finish second this track/trip last time and has shown he is capable of handling all conditions.  He maps to get a soft run from an inside draw and has a good each way chance here.

$4.60

Best Lay

Safeeya (Bendigo Race 8 No. 11):

Safeeya has come up the early favourite in the last race on the card.  She has won just one of her eight starts and comes here off a nine week let up after finishing seventh at Sandown in a benchmark 70.  She gets Jamie Kah for the first time and looked okay winning a recent Cranbourne trial but she runs into race fit horses here and doesn’t appear to represent any value at the current price.

Key Comments The track is a synthetic tapeta-based surface and weather has minimal effect on how it races. The rail remains in the true position. As a general rule, runners who land in the front half of the field are suited at this track, with a slight advantage to those who land forward of midfield and can find a cart into the race from the wider lanes in the straight.
