Our Moe Horse Racing Tips for Tuesday’s meeting.

Across The Way (Moe Race 6 No. 2)

This four-year-old Akeed Mofeed mare trained by Charlotte Littlefield at Pakenham has two wins and a place from her eight starts. She was slowly away and battled steadily for 6.1 lengths 6th over 1200m at Yarra Valley on 29 December then was spelled for 16 weeks. On resuming she took over at the 200m and was strong through the line for a 1.25 length win over 1100m at Moe on a soft track on 25 April. Both of her wins have been on this track and she likes the cut in the ground. Should win.

How to pick a winner

Each Way

Fighting Whiskey (Moe Race 9 No. 3):

This four-year-old Fighting Sun gelding trained by Michael Kent at Cranbourne has one win and five place from 11 starts. He jumped awkwardly and chased steadily between runners for 4.2 lengths 5th over 1600m at Pakenham Park on 18 February, then chased steadily the entire straight for 1.75. 2.25 lengths 3rd over 1850m at Kyneton on 19 March. Has had an eight week let-up and carries 4.5kg less than last start. Looks a great each-way bet.

Just Malcolm (Moe Race  8 No. 4):

This three-year-old Squamosa gelding trained by Bill Wood at Sale is the early favourite in this BM 64 handicap over 1008m. He overraced in the first half of the race and then just plugged for 7.1 lengths 6th in a maiden plate over 1200m at Caulfield on 13 January before a 13 week break. On resuming he took over at the 150m and went clear for a 2.25 length win in a 100m maiden plate at Cranbourne on 16 April. He goes up in weight and this is a togher race so I am prepared to risk him here.

Horse Racing Tips: ACT Friday 19th April 2024

Key Comments The rail is in 4 metres from the 1000-380m mark and true for the remainder. Racing on a soft 5 track. The best bet is early on in the day. Best Bet Greaves (Canberra Race 2 No. 1) Capable of a big finish when on song. The map here looks good from barrier 4 and Owen has options. This race suits and last start rates well enough to take this out. Check odds on SmartB Analyst: Bryce Parker

Horse Racing Tips: NSW Friday 19th April 2024

Key Comments The rail is true. The best bet comes up in the first race at a short price and is a good multi banker. Best Bet Snippety Star (Orange Race 1 No. 10) All runs to date have been solid and Snippety Star won't get a better chance to win than this. Latham does the riding and the depth here is thin. This race suits and is a good multi banker for the weekend. Check odds on SmartB Analyst: Bryce Parker

Horse Racing Tips: NSW Saturday 20th April 2024

Key Comments The rail is out from 7 metres from the 1000m post and true for the remainder. The feature races include the J B Carr Stakes (race 3), Frank Packer Plate (race 4), Hall Mark Stakes (race 5), Jra Plate (race 6), Champagne Stakes (race 7) and the All Aged Stakes (race 8). Have to wait until the last race for the best bet. Best Bet Kibou (Randwick Race 10 No. 3) Smart runner who resumes off a break, has the gun

Horse Racing Tips: WA Saturday 20th April 2024

Key Comments The Quokka (race 8) has $5 million prizemoney making it WA's richest race. There is also the Group 2 Karrrakatta Plate (race 7). The track is Good and the rail is +3 metres the entire circuit. Best Bet Yarralea (Ascot Race 2 No. 3) Last-start winner over 1500m at Ascot and draws to do no work. Should be hard to beat.
