He was never balanced there but still closed to within a length of the winner. Prior, was very good from the back in the Ballan Cup at Geelong. Ready to produce a peak rating fourth up. Go well.

Defiant Dancer is a five year old gelding trained on the track by Phillip Stokes. Thought he did enough first up at Flemington over 1000m and is much better suited here out to 1200m. He gets in with just 51kg after the claim and I suspect this may be a target race for him. Expecting a bold showing.

Hi Stranger is currently rated a $3.70 chance in race five on the card. He was good winning the Kilmore Cup at his last start however this is a stronger race and he is giving some key rivals plenty of weight. Expecting him to drift from the current quote.
