Shandy (Caulfield Race 9 No. 9)
Shandy is a progressive mare trained by Matthew Ellerton & Simon Zahra. She won three in a row last preparation and resumed with a strong win at Sandown on March 17. She was held up for much of the race but showed her strong turn of foot to burst through the gap once it appeared. This looks a nice race for her second up and she is capable of stringing more wins together this time in.

Riddle Me That (Caulfield Race 8 No. 11):
We made this four year-old chestnut gelding a horse to follow after his first up run at Moonee Valley. He finished second in a strong open handicap and made up strong ground against the pattern of the day. He looks well placed stepping up to 1400m here with a run under his belt and if he can get some luck at a key stage should be in the finish at a nice price.

Best Lay
Winsum (Caulfield Race 5 No. 15):
Winsum has come up as the early favourite in race number five. In a wide open race I was happy to work around her given both her wins have come over 1000m on her home track at Cranbourne. This is a much stronger race and I need to see her do it away from home before entertaining her at these odds.
