Our Moonee Valley Horse Racing Tips for Saturday’s meeting.

Chief Altony (Moonee Valley Race 8 No. 14)

Wet tracker who has been racing in fine form during the winter months.  Was desperately unlucky not to win at Caulfield two starts ago then ran an honest third in Stakes company at Randwick last start when he looked to be unsuited dropping back in trip.  Has proven he can get round the Valley and with no weight on his back “The Chief” looks the best winning chance on a tricky card!

$2.70

Each Way

The Problem With (Moonee Valley Race 7 No. 11)

Thought there was a strong case to be made that The Problem With should be much shorter than the $21 currently on offer.  He is progressive, third up, dropping in weight with a positive jockey change, blinkers for the first time and map favours.  Think he can give a great each way sight here.

$21

Best Lay

Bistro (Moonee Valley Race 3 No. 1)

Bistro is currently rated a $3.60 chance in race three on the program.  She is a little professional who has won twice from four starts and whilst it is always dangerous laying these connections (Kah/Freedman), there looks good speed on paper here and I think she might be vulnerable late.  Short enough at the current quote.
