Our Bendigo Horse Racing Tips for Saturday’s meeting.

The feature races are the Bendigo Guineas (race 7) and the Golden Mile (race 8).

Fighting Harada (Bendigo Race 9 No. 5)

Fighting Harada is unbeaten this preparation.  He resumed off a long lay off (865 days) with a dominant benchmark 64 win at Pakenham, then put a handy field away at Sandown last start.  He maps to stalk them here from barrier four and the drop back in distance from 1400m to 1300m shouldn’t cause him any problems.

How to pick a winner

Each Way

Mozzie Monster (Bendigo Race 7 No. 7):

Mozzie Monster has won two of her six career starts.  Her most notable win came here at Bendigo when she saved ground along the inside to put a benchmark 64 field away by 3.5 lengths in September.  She hit the line well first up at Flemington over 1100m, however stepping up to 1400m here will be much more to her liking as will the drop back in class.

Best Lay

Shepard (Bendigo Race 4 No. 8):

Shepard has come up $5.50 in race four.  He was able to win a weak benchmark 70 at Sandown two starts ago after he lead and dictated.  Last start he was soundly beaten in a benchmark 78 also at Sandown.  He rises in class again and seems big unders at the current quote.  I had him marked double figures.

Best Bets – Eagle Farm, 17 April 2021

A very tough nine race program at Eagle Farm with two Listed races as the winter carnival draws closer. We know what we get with this surface and it's already rated a Good 4, which will remain until raceday. Given the evenness of this program, we only have two bets as I couldn't find a 'next best'.  Let's hope this pair can salute at some nice odds. BEST BET Race 5 - #5 Be Water My Friend Only a small field for the feature race of the day as the

Best Bets Our Eagle Farm Horse Racing Tips for the weekend. Junction (Eagle Farm Race 7 No. 5) This six-year-old Real Saga gelding trained by Mark Currie at Toowoomba has eight wins and 10 places from 35 starts. He didn't seem to like the heavy going when he finished 3.8 lengths 7th in the Listed Australian Turf Club Trophy over 1400m at the Gold Coast on 13 March, then was going well until hampered at the 150m and getting swamped late for 0.7 length 4th over 1400m
