Our Caulfield Horse Racing Tips for the weekend.

Harbour Views (Caulfield Race 8 No. 4)
With 6 wins and 3 places from 9 starts, this lightly-raced gelding is a very consistent runner. He worked home solidly for 0.2 length, 1.7 lengths 3rd in the Group 3 R A Lee Stakes over 1600m at Morphettville on 16 May, then stepped up in distance and won by 2.25 lengths over 2040m at Moonee Valley on 13 June. He oes well in the wet and is the one they have to beat.

How to pick a winner

Each Way

Gododdin (Caulfield Race 4 No. 4):
This Exceed And Excel mare from the Godolphin stable has 2 wins at this track and distance. She went down in the last few strides for 0.3 length 2nd over 1200m at Flemington on a soft track on 16 May, then just battled from the 150m to finish 6.95 lengths 9th when favourite in a BM90 over 1200m at Caulfield on 30 May. She is better than that and looks a great each-way bet at the current price.

Best Lay

Ms Catherine (Caulfield Race 6 No. 1):
This Shooting To Win filly trained by Henry Dwyer is the early favourite for this three-year-old sprint after winning 3 of her 4 starts. She won the Group 3 Typhoon Tracy Stakes by 0.3 lengths over 1200m at Moonee Valley on 21 February before a 16 week spell. She resumed for 0.75 length, 0.75 length 3rd on a soft track over 1000m at Moonee Valley on 13 June. She didn’t look to like the softer ground and is not a sure thing in this race with several chances.
