The Chief is absolutely flying this prep. He bolted in at Sandown two back before pushing Visinari last start who ran well again at Flemington last week. That looks the right form for this. He should get a good run here from barrier 5 and loves wet ground. Hard to beat.

Vultan (Caulfield Race 8 No. 7)
Lead and bolted in by 8 lengths, in fast time first up at Moe. Then missed the start was held up and incredibly still managed to win at Mornington. Maps well here from barrier 6 and with just 52kg on his back can be in this for a long way.

Sig Positano (Caulfield Race 9 No. 8):
Sig Positano has come up favourite with the bookies in the final race on the program. He has been a costly commodity for punters this prep and was disappointing last start. Happy to bet around him with the apprentice going on and the likelihood of the low draw offering no favours late in the day.
