Our Kyneton Horse Racing Tips for Monday’s meeting
Ethekwini (Kyneton Race 1 No. 7)
This three-year-old Savabeel filly has three 2nd places from 4 starts and is knocking on the door for a win. She took over inside the 200m and fought hard to only go down late for 0.4 length 2nd over 1200m at Geelong on 24 January, then chased steadily for 3.25 length 2nd over 1200m at Moonee Valley on 5 February. Returning from a 7 week spell she should get a nice run behind a genuine early tempo and is the one to beat.

Reliable Lovin’ (Kyneton Race 8 No. 2):
This three-year-old Reliable Man colt trained by Richard Laming at Cranbourne has one win from his four starts. He finished last campaign with 8th in the Group 2 Moonee Valley Vase on 24 October where he dropped out in the straight then was spelled for 19 weeks. On resuming he was slowly away but chased steadily along the rails for 2.55 lengths 5th over 1500m at Cranbourne on 12 March. He won at Bendogo at his only second-up attempt, should race on the speed and looks a good each-way chance.

Big Angel (Kyneton Race 3 No. 9):
This three-year-old Zoustar filly trained by Chris Waller has two places from five starts and is the early favourite in this maiden plate over 1887m. She jumped awkwardly and was looking for a run straightening when 4.3, 0.2 lengths 3rd over 1550m at Canterbiry Park on 12 February, then didn’t run on when 9.2 lengths 8th over 1600m at Warwick Farm on 3 March. Others look to have better chances and I am happy to risk her at the short quote.

Best Bet Sing A Love Song (Newcastle Race 8 No. 5) Has always shown glimpses of talent across its career but does mix its form. Expect an economical run from barrier 5 and only 2 starts ago did hit the line hard crossing it with

Key Comments The best bet comes up in the middle of the day. The rail is true and the track is soft 5. Best Bet Prophet Time (Queanbeyan Race 5 No. 11) Doesn't win out of turn but weighted kindly and this 4yo Mare maps perfectly from barrier 1. Budler stays in the saddle off a gallant 2nd placing and this race suits. Check odds on SmartB Analyst: Bryce Parker Each Way Missile Maiden
