The seven-year-old drove hard to the line for a 0.5 length win over 1400m at Launceston on 20 February, then got up in the final 50m for a 0.2 length win over 1420m at Launceston on 9 March. The extra distance should suit, he goes well on soft going and loves this track. Should win.

This five-year-old mare is a good each-way chance here. She was outgunned to the line when 1.3 lengths 4th over 1200m at Launceston on 20 February, then ran on from the top of the straight to just get there with a 0.1 length win over 1120m at Launceston on 9 March. Has a good record at this track and distance and is a solid each-way chance.

This four-year-old Magnus mare has three wins and three places from 19 starts and is the early favourite in this BM 62 Handicap over 1400m. She ran down the leader in the shadows of the post for a 0.5 length win over 1200m at Launceston on 20 February, then closed strongly in the final 100m for 0.6 length 3rd over 1220m at Launceston on 9 March. Gets a 3kg claim but others offer better value.
