Our Launceston Racing Tips for Wednesdays meeting.
The Risk Factor (Launceston Race 4 No. 1)
This four-year-old gelding has three wins and two places from nine starts. He raced away to the line for a 6 length win over 2100m at Launceston on a soft track on 10 February, then kept going for a 3 length win over 2100m at Launceston on 24 February to bring up 3 wins in a row. He is flying at the moment and at this track and distance he should win again.
Appraise (Launceston Race 2 No. 4):
This five-year-old Needs Further gelding has had 22 starts for three wins and eight places. He was held up and never really got clear when 1.8 lengths 4th over 1200m at Launceston on 21 February, then he was outsprinted when 1, 0.75 lengths 3rd over 1420m at Launceston on 3 March. He has not been far away at recent starts and is worth an each-way bet.
Tassie O’reilly (Launceston Race 5 No. 6):
This five-year-old O’Reilly gelding has placed four times from nine starts and is the early favourite in this Maiden/Class 1 over 2100m. He finished 0.75, 0.1 length 3rd in a Maiden/Class 1 over 1600m at Hobart on 7 February, then was 0.2, 0.2 lengths 3rd in a Maiden/Class 1 over 2150m at Launceston on 3 March. Both horses that finished ahead of him last time are in this race and he offers no value.

James McDonald sticks with him and he will be hard to best. $2.30
Best Bets Our Geelong Horse Racing Tips for Wednesday's meeting. Sugar Pop (Geelong Race 3 No. 9) Three year old daughter of Vanbrugh. Her Mornington debut at the end of October was excellent, getting back and working home strongly over the 1200m. Will derive good benefit from that effort and I like Brett Prebble going on here from the good gate. This is no harder. $2.60 Each Way Zooming Zebra (Geelong Race 7 No. 6): Russell Osbourne’s mare Zooming Zebra is
