Horse Racing Tips : TAS Sunday 14th May 2023

Our Hobart Horse Racing Tips for Sunday’s meeting.

Best Bet

Tony Nicconi (Hobart Race 9 No. 4):

Nothing says welcome to Tasmanian racing like a Group 3 winner lining up via a trip to the Woolamai picnics. TONY NICCONI lines up in TAS for the first time under the Team Wells banner and looks hard to beat. The gelding’s trial at the track earlier this month showed glimpses of his early ability, winning by 8.25L under little riding. They’ve stripped a bunch of race gear off him and previous feet issues may have finally come good if those changes are anything to go by. I expecting an improved performance here in a BM60 HCP.

Best Each Way

Bingo Was Hisnameo (Hobart Race 2 No. 3):

Tough day to find something out wide, so have opted for a real blowout in what looks a very open maiden early in the card. BINGO WAS HISNAMEO trialled well prior to his debut where he gave Georgie Catania a rough time of it in the run. He hit the line well enough there to expect some improvement here. Importantly he also gets an outside draw which could prove beneficial off what we saw in his debut run where he was half-slow away and mustered a stack of speed before running up behind horses who had crossed him semi-erratically. Think he’s worth a few pennies on a 1×4 each-way basis.

Best Lay

Gee Gee Miss Quita (Hobart Race 1 No. 4):

Probably the only early market favourite I’m keen to oppose. Think this mare has been completely blessed this prep and is favourite by default. If both SH’BOURNE REBEL and ALPINE AFFAIR have better runs in transit than previous starts I think she’ll struggle to get past them to be winning.

Lay (WIN) at < $3.50

Key Comments The track is rated heavy and the rail is +0.5 metre the entire circuit. Best Bet Rimbaud (Doomben Race 4 No. 1) Resumed from a spell with a win over 1200m at Sunshine Coast then was 2nd to Ser Joh at Eagle Farm last start. He has a lot of early speed and handles soft ground. Winning chance. Analyst: Jo Jackson Each Way Cho Oyu (Doomben Race 1 No. 2)

Key Comments The feature races include the Wellington Showcase Cup (race 6) and the Wellington Boot (race 7). The best bet comes up in the last at healthy odds. Best Bet Man From Brussells (Wellington Race 8 No. 5) Could surprise these at odds. Proven in this grade, drawn well and has the race fitness over its dangers. Seems over the odds in early markets and finds a winnable race. Analyst: Bryce Parker

Horse Racing Tips: VIC Sunday 30th March 2025

Key Comments An 8 race program takes place. The track is in the soft range. The best bet bumped into a handy one last time out and is big odds. Best Bet Suppose I Do (Sale Race 6 No. 6) Bumped into Big Swinger last time out who is destined for some good races. Saves its best racing for this track having made the placings at all 3 attempts and is drawn well for this. Analyst: Bryce Parker

Key Comments An evening meeting with the first race at 6.10 pm. The track is rated soft and the rail is +2 metres the entire circuit. As a general rule, runners who land in the front half of the field are suited at this track, with an advantage to those who find the inside lanes in the straight. Best Bet Turk Warrior (Launceston Race 5 No. 1) Ran on best out wide for a 0.8 length win over 1120m at Launceston last
