Horse Racing Tips : SA Wednesday 2nd August 2023

Our Gawler Racing Tips for Wednesday’s meeting.

Key Comments

The track was rated a Soft 5 on Tuesday afternoon and there is fine weather forecast for race day so there could be a slight upgrade. The rail is out 5m from the 800m to the 400m, and 3m for the remainder. Jockeys to follow are Jason Holder and Jake Toeroek.

Best Bet

Fox D’or  (Gawler Race 6 No. 2)
Narrowly beaten as a favourite last start at Gawler where he came as the widest runner from the back of the field. Should be fitter at his 3rd run back and steps up in distance. Serious player.

Analyst: Jo Jackson

Best Each Way

Jajitta Bug (Gawler Race 3 No. 2)
This 4YO Fiorente gelding is on a seven-day back-up after breaking his maiden over 1800m at Murray Bridge last week. He drove right over the top of them late and is bred for more distance. Looks a great each-way bet.

Key Comments The track is Soft and the rail is +1 metre the entire circuit. As a general rule, runners who land in the front half of the field are suited at this track, with a slight advantage to those who land forward of midfield and can find a cart into the race from the wider lanes in the straight. Best Bet Thespian Waters (Hobart Race 3 No. 1) Aiming for a hat-trick here after back-to-back wins at Launceston. He’s back to his
