Montepulciano (Morphettville Race 6 No. 4)
This five-year-old All Too Hard gelding trained by Richard & Chantelle Jolly has two wins and 10 places from 24 starts. He worked home solidly making up plenty of ground late for 0.7 length 3rd over 1550m at Morphettville Parks on 10 September, then worked home strongly to gather in the leader for a 0.9 length win over 1600m at Morphettville on 8 October. This race is not much harder and he looks a good each-way chance.

Philonize (Morphettville Race 7 No. 11)
This four-year-old mare trained by Dion Koch at Strathalbyn is the early favourite in this BM 82 Handicap over 1100m. He resumes from a 34 week spell and although he won a Murray Bridge trial on 17 October, he has not won first-up in three attempts. I expect him to place but don’t think he will win.
