Best Bet | Race 3 #2 Hungry Heart
Getting back on a firmer surface is the key here for Hungry Heart. She simply doesn’t go in the wet and all of her four wins – including two group ones – have come on good tracks. She also takes a few runs to find her best and third-up here should be close to her peak. She appears perfectly placed and should be winning.
Next Best | Race 6 #16 Startantes
Last start was a complete forgive the way the track was playing. She ran on well but was never a winning factor from back in the field on a leaders track. Jamie Kah goes on here, which is always a positive. She’s goes well third-up and last prep should’ve won a Sydney group one at this stage of the campaign.
Best Each Way | Race 1 #5 Stalking
Quality filly from the Godolphin yard who has always a given the impression she will get better over time. She’s been excellent in all four runs this prep, and it appears getting to this trip beyond 2000m is exactly what she needs. I like that Jimmy Orman sticks after the Gold Coast run where she made very good ground from the back of the field. She’s drawn wide but it won’t matter as she’ll get back to the rear. Eagle Farm will give her plenty of time to run on.
