Ghostwriter (Eagle Farm Race 7 No. 5)
Ghostwriter strikes the right race and should prove hard to beat. It was heavily tried last start and should be extremely suited by the rail out. Expect an aggressive ride early and it will be hard to run down.
Hettinger (Eagle Farm Race 5 No. 5)
Hettinger presents good value at the $12.00 mark. It put in a solid run behind the promising Kayobi who came out and won again yesterday. Often when horses are brought across from NSW it proves successful and this does look a winnable race. On ratings Hettinger is right in this and should be suited by a drying track.
Big Angel (Eagle Farm Race 9 No. 4)
Big Angel got another win on the board last start but the 2 career wins from 20 starts has to be some concern. There are a few good chances in this race so the $4.40 on offer does seem rock bottom odds for a Mare that has never been able to string 2 wins together.
Best Bets Our Devonport Horse Racing Tips for the weekend. Boom Dot Com (Devonport Race 6 No. 3)/ Rebel Factor (Devonport Race 6 No. 5) Think this is a race in two, despite FREELANCER likely coming up short. I can’t have it. Keen to be with both BOOM DOT COM and REBEL FACTOR. BOOM DOT COM resumed in an unsuitable race on a wet deck at Launny and really found the line. Gets a 10L jockey switch here, and gets to a trip she relishes (~1400m). I
Best bet | Race 2 #5 Ice In Vancouver I’m surprised he’s not clear favourite here. There’s so many positives in his favour, most notably the fitness edge on his rivals and the super lightweight. Apprentice Angela Jones can get down to 52kg for this ride and it means he’ll carry 6kg less than main rivals Ef Troop and Racecourse Road. He comes here off two impressive wins to start his preparation and has only been defeated once from six starts at this 1000m sprint trip. In the small field
Our Tamworth Horse Racing Tips for Friday's meeting. Best Bets Pliskova (Tamworth Race 3 No. 7) Pliskova will need luck from the draw but this race looks within reach. It hit the line really well on debut and brings the strongest last start rating of this field. The $6.00 is over the odds provided it can find a clear passage in the straight. $6.00 Each Way Lonely Power (Tamworth Race 4 No. 1) Lonely Power has good ability and just needs
Best Bets Our Morphettville Horse Racing Tips for the weekend. The feature race is the Group 3 Spring Stakes (race 7). Glacius (Morphettville Race 9 No. 4) This four-year-old Frosted gelding trained by Will Clarken has only had two starts. On debut he led throughout for a 1.6 length win over 1100m at Gawler on 20 July, then drifted back to 11th from his wide draw before running on late for 1.4 lengths 2nd over 1000m at Murray Bridge on 6 August.
