PLEASE NOTE: THIS MEETING HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED TO WEDNESDAY 25TH MAY DUE TO WEATHER AND THE STATE OF THE TRACK.
Our Doomben Horse Racing Tips for the 21st of May.
The feature races of the day are the Bill Carter Stakes (race 3), Chief De Beers (race 4), Pam O’neill Stakes (race 5), BRC Sprint (race 6), Doomben Cup (race 7) and The Roses (race 8).
The Catch (Doomben Race 1 No. 9)
In quite an open card, The Catch sticks out as a good bet. It has returned in extremely good order, handles all conditions, maps well and brings in winning form which some of its rivals do not have. The Catch looks a nice way to kick off the day.

Each Way
Chilko Lake (Doomben Race 8 No. 10)
Chilko Lake needs to take another step in order to win this race but I believe it can and thus far has only been on an upward spiral. Maps beautifully in barrier 2 and Sydney form constantly tends to hold up in QL. Chilko Lake sees a sharp rise in grade and trip but that doesn’t look to be a problem judging by the way it has been racing. It can take this out at $20.00

Best Lay
Zaaki (Doomben Race 7 No. 1)
He’s one of my favourites and one of the best in the land but the $1.35 on offer for Zaaki seems far too short given the conditions. The line looked to have come just at the right time last run so the step up to 2000 has me weary and there was less than a length between Zaaki & Polly Grey. The stable admitted they much prefer him on top of the ground and he looks risky at the odds on offer.
$1.35

Horse Racing Tips: NSW Monday 16th September 2024
Key Comments 7 race card takes place. The best bet comes up in the first and has been subject to plenty of market support and should take beating off the back of a strong run fresh. Best Bet Tycoon Jenny (Corowa Race 7 No. 1) She has been hard to catch lately but form has been back on track and ticks all the boxes for this. Her best is good enough, maps for a good run and is in okay at the weights
Horse Racing Tips: NSW Monday 16th September 2024
Key Comments Racing on a soft track. The best bet comes up later on in the day and should appreciate the drop in grade. It is still looming around healthy odds at time of typing. Best Bet Great Siege (Tamworth Race 6 No. 5) Well placed to be taking this out. Has to lump the weight but drops back in grade off a commendable return on the back of a freshen up. Has won on this track and looks well placed in this
Horse Racing Tips: Hong Kong Sunday 15th September 2024
Key Comments There are 10 races for the Sunday meeting. The rail in the A+3 position and there is no significant rain forecast so the track will be good. The first race is at 1 pm Hong Kong time which is 3 pm AEST. Best Bet Amazing Fun (Sha Tin Race 6 No. 1) He was a winner at his only start back in July. He’s been trialling well, Zac Purton sticks and he’s drawn the inside barrier. Hard to beat. Check odds
Horse Racing Tips: NSW Sunday 15th September 2024
Key Comments Small 7 race cars takes place with the track in the soft range. The best bet has trialled up very nicely and has been subject to strong early market support. Best Bet Pony Soprano (Coffs Harbour Race 2 No. 7) Trials have been very good including a most recent 2.5 length win and the early market support is a positive sign. This 3yo Gelding looks ready for race day and should give this a shake. Check odds on SmartB Analyst:
