Our Eagle Farm Horse Racing Tips for the weekend.

Mr Bellagio (Eagle Farm Race 8 No. 3)
This seven-year-old gelding won three consecutive races in April and May ending with a 5.25 length win over 1400m at Gold Coast on 22 May. After an 8 week let-up he was caught wide and ran home for 1.4 lengths 6th in the Listed Eye Liner Stakes over 1200m at Ipswich on 18 July. He is much better suited back to this distance and looks the likely winner.

How to pick a winner

Each Way

Prometheus (Eagle Farm Race 3 No. 2):
This Snitzel gelding trained by Tony Sears at Toowoomba has raced four times this campaign for 2 wins and 2 places. He finished 0.2 length, 4.2 lengths 3rd over 1615m at Doomben on 20 June, then got to the front at the 200m and was bumped but did best to win by a narrow margin over 1600m at Sunshne Coast on a heavy track on 11 July. He was placed at his only previous start at Eagle Farm and looks a solid each-way chance.

Best Lay

Chico Milagro (Eagle Farm Race 5 No. 12):
This I Am Invincible gelding is the early favourite in this colts, geldings and entire no-metropolitan wins handicap over 1200m. He fought on near the rail for 1.6 lengths 6th over 1200m at Eagle Farm on 4 July, then ran 2.7 lengths 6th in a 3YO handicap over 1350m at Ipswich on 18 July. There are other horses in the race that look closer to a win, and he does not look like value.
