Lease | (Warwick Farm Race 7 No.2)

We have decided to wait until the last for our best bet, and he shouldn’t disappoint. Last start was a disaster as Brenton Avdulla was instructed to lead but had a horse kick up on the inside which was a surprise to him, and he stated that the horse lost concentration when he was unable to dictate the race. I love the drop back in grade here and the blinkers going back is a key move here as his peak performances have come with blinkers on. The wide gate shouldn’t be a concern as he will head forward and the addition of James McDonald gives me even more confidence in a solid performance.

Redwood Shadow | (Warwick Farm Race 5 No.9)

This Redwood gelding is having his second start with the Joe Pride stable following a solid first-up effort. He was held up early in the straight before being hampered again around the 50m mark, but despite all of this he finished two lengths off the winner Overlord in third place. He will take natural improvement into his second-up run and the extra 100m suits as he will likely get better over further. He gets the services of Hugh Bowman which is ideal and the step back to take on his own sex could be a solid move. He is a chance to run another big race.

Current Price: $4.60
