Our Gosford Horse Racing Tips for Wednesdays meeting.

La Grisa (Gosford Race 4 No. 1)
This five-year-old mare trained by John O’Shea has three wins and five places from 16 starts. She didn’t run on when 6.1 lengths 9th in the Listed Australia Day Cup over 2400m at Warwick Farm on 26 January, then chased hard to find the front at the 150m and raced away to win by 2.8 lengths over 2200m at Warwick Farm on 10 February. She has drawn the inside barrier and should win again.

How to pick a winner

Each Way

Champagne Vega (Gosford Race 7 No. 7):
This five-year-old Lope De Vega gelding has five wins and seven place from 27 starts. He resumed after 26 weeks for a 0.32 length win over 1300m on his home track of Canberra on 13 January, then ran on strongly for a 4 length win over 1400m on a soft track at Canberra on 5 February. Looking for a hat-trick and is  a great each-way bet.

Best Lay

Zudin (Gosford Race 2 No. 4):
This Redoubte’s Choice colt trained by Chris Waller is the early favourite in this maiden handicap over 1600m. He only battled on the heavy track for 0.8. 1.5 lengths 3rd over 1550m at Canterbury on 29 January, then was winded late for 4.7 lengths 5th over 1550m at Canterbury on 12 February. Others appear to have better chances and I am prepared to risk him here.

BEST BET – R8 #2 AMISH BOY Just missed out a Stradbroke run last week – but winning the Eye Liner Stakes will be a nice consolation for Amish Boy. The betting suggests a race in two with Axe, but I’m keen to stick with Amish Boy because he’s drawn beautifully in gate five whereas Axe may have to work from a wide draw. Amish Boy should be able to sit a little closer from the nice barrier, perhaps midfield or a touch closer. If Craig Williams can negotiate a

Best Bets Our Belmont Horse Racing Tips for the weekend. Amasenus (Belmont Race 7 No. 3) This four-year-old Time For War mare trained by Simon Miller has five wins and two places from 12 starts, and has won her last four starts in a row. She charged ahead late for a 0.83 length win over 1200m at Ascot on 27 March , then returned from a 10 week break to come from last and get there in the final stride for a narrow win over 1000m at

Best Bets Our Murray Bridge Horse Racing Tips for the weekend. Hills (Murray Bridge Race 5 No. 8) This four-year-old Not A Single Doubt mare trained by Will Clarken has three wins and a place from 11 starts. When resuming from a 33 week spell she settled well back in the field then worked home strongly for 0.2, 0.6 length 3rd over 1000m at Murray Bridge on 22 May, then she took over at the 300m and won by an easy 1.8 length margin over 1000m at

Best Bets Our Flemington Horse Racing Tips for Saturday's meeting. Kurabui (Flemington Race 5 No. 9) Very progressive three year old trained by Mick Price & Michael Kent Jnr.  He is unbeaten in four trips to the races and drew away to beat La Chevalee last start who has since ran well in Sydney.  He is only third up here so may have some improvement left and gets in on the minimum weight.  Jamie Kah shouldn’t find too much trouble drawn out in barrier ten and I
